Since Piers Morgan quit Good Morning Britain, there has been a mix-up of presenters with no one apart from Susanna Reid having set days. Today, Kate Garraway was joined by Adil Ray OBE to host the show and less than an hour in, a row had ensued between the presenters and their guest, Rachel Reeves MP, over the Labour party calling for a “proper inquiry” to look into David Cameron and the Greensill lobbying scandal. Those watching at home accused Adil of trying to be like Piers with his hard and bombastic interview technique.
Taking to Twitter to comment, one said: “#GMB I am now turning over to the bbc breakfast as I can no longer stand listening to the row!”
“Oh dear! Adil Ray has been told to boost the ratings by pretending to be Piers Morgan! #GMB,” someone suggested.
A third wrote: “What is Adil going on about.. seems he’s just shouting for shoutings sake- she already answered his question you’re not Piers and we don’t want Another arrogant shouty presenter. #gmb.”
“#gmb adil trying his hardest to be piers,” another said.
A viewer mentioned: “Who’s this £ shop Piers Morgan on #gmb?”
