Which Has the Best Original Shows: Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime?

Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime all have their original shows. But which is the best when it comes to original content? They all most likely have their pros and cons but is there one that somewhat outranks the others?

Netflix has hits like Stranger Things and Orange Is the New Black and fan-favorite shows like Sense8. Hulu has critically acclaimed shows like The Handmaid’s Tale and fan-favorite shows like Marvel’s Runaways. Amazon has hits like Good Omens and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. There’s definitely some stiff competition between the streaming services.

Hulu is great with original content, producing hard-hitting dramas like The Handmaid’s Tale, which won the streaming service an Emmy in 2017, and fan-favorites like Marvel’s Runaways. It also produces horror like Castle Rock and true crime shows like The Act. So does Hulu win for best original shows?

Not exactly. Though it depends on what your preferences are, Hulu simply doesn’t have as wide a variety of original content as they could. However, we wouldn’t count the streaming service out. It will probably catch up to others in time.

Is Amazon Prime the best with original shows?

Amazon Prime definitely has some great shows. Whether you’re into comedies like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or sci-fi shows like Good Omens. There’s also fantasy like Carnival Row and superhero shows like The Boys. So does Amazon win for best original shows?

Not really. Though Amazon has some great shows, it doesn’t have as much variety as it could. It does depend on your taste, of course, yet Amazon could probably have a lot more different kinds of shows available.

Is Netflix the best with original shows?

There’s no doubt that Netflix has a good amount of hits. Shows like Stranger Things are thought of as good by legions of fans. Shows like Sense8 have a very passionate fan base. So does Netflix win?

In the end, it really depends on your taste in shows. Though Netflix seems to have a show for every taste. From crime dramas like Mindhunter to sci-fi like Stranger Things, everyone will be happy when watching Netflix. (Provided that the show you’re watching doesn’t get canceled.)

Take your pick

Though Netflix may seem like the best, it really depends on your point of view. Netflix does have a lot of variety, but they also cancel a lot of shows without conclusions. Hulu and Amazon Prime don’t seem to have as much of a problem with that. So perhaps in that way, Hulu and Amazon Prime are better.

There are a lot of options when it comes to streaming, and there are about to be more. In the end, everyone has the right to choose which service they find the best. They all have their good points, and all have some great shows.

So choose well and enjoy the shows you watch on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. It’s not important which one you choose as the best for you, it’s just important that you are comfortable with that choice. We are lucky to have these streaming services, so enjoy them. The ability to watch shows whenever you want to is not something to be taken for granted.
