Watch the awkward moment Jessie swerves question about ‘fake tears’ in Love Island villa | The Sun

LOVE Island's Jessie Wynter swerved a question during the reunion special about supposed "fake crying" while in the villa.

On Sunday night, all of this year's contestants were reunited to discuss the ups and downs of their time in South Africa.

Maya Jama, who stunned fans in a slick powersuit, was on hand to guide the islanders through some of the most scandalous bits on the show.

When she sat down with Will Young and Australian girlfriend Jessie, Maya quickly brought up Jessie's tear-filled moments while living in the compound – though noted she didn't seem to ever actually cry.

Jessie had more than one rough moment during her time on the series, especially after discovering Will had been unfaithful to her while in Casa Amor.

However, some viewers ended up questioning whether her feelings were real or not after believing she never openly wept, only appeared to.

Rather than confront or deny the accusations, Jessie brushed off the comment, joking: "I think I need to drink some more water or something."

"No, it's every rare that I actually get a tear out of my eye," Jessie later conceded, with Maya softening the awkward moment by declaring: "the emotions were there just not the drops".

The comment comes as fans started questioning Will's behaviour during Sunday night's reunion show.

The farmer certainly did not let anyone steal his spotlight as he answered each question Maya threw at him in an over-the-top manner – leaving some to believe he was drunk.

It was a stark contrast to Jessie who was left barely able to speak as she insisted she had been having 'too much fun' outside the South African villa hence why her voice appeared to be croaky.

But the couple ended their night as strong as ever, later sharing with their TikTok fans their massive haul of McDonalds they got on the way back to their hotel.
