Vinny rocked by second death tragedy at Christmas in Emmerdale

Vinny’s (Bradley Johnson) Emmerdale Christmas is set to be tragic enough as it is, having to spend his first one without Liv (Isobel Steele) by his side, but the tragedy is set to deepen further with another death on the cards.

Vinny has struggled to find any light in life since Liv died, recently teetering dangerously close to the edge of a gambling addiction in a bid to distract himself from his painful grief.

Mandy (Lisa Riley) dealt him a reality slap when she compared him to his deceiving and conniving deceased dad, which everyone hopes is enough to snap him out of it.

It’s clear to see Vinny is finding things exceedingly tough, and the worry is if anything else were to happen, he’d lose it.

Chip the dog was brought into his life to help level things out, and it was a battle at first to get the bereaved Dingle to accept the pooch into his life. But after some work, and a hilarious incident with Liv’s ashes, Chip became his best friend and the pair inseparable.

But Chips life is left hanging in the balance when Paddy (Dominic Brunt) makes a huge blunder at the vets.

He is not coping well after learning the devastating truth about Chas’ (Lucy Pargeter) plans to leave him for Al (Michael Wildman). His mind isn’t on the job and when he has a precious patient in the form of Chip in the vets for a visit, he accidently gives he dog an overdose of sedative.

As Paddy hits breaking point he sits in his car and the emotions take over. How will he tell Vinny what he’s done to his beloved dog?
