CHARLES Anderson was far from pleased to know his treacherous father Victor was released from prison.
But after trying to push him out of Emmerdale, the vicar played by Kevin Mathurin makes a surprising decision after he collapses.
Victor (played by Eddie Osei) spent 25 years in prison after a robbery gone wrong, leaving his wife Claudette at a loss with their son Charles.
The criminal was released in June, 2023, and received a cold greeting from Charles who warned him to stay away from their family.
Despite the vicar's warnings, Victor rocked up the ITV Dales, determined to bond with his family and get back in his wife Claudette's good graces.
In doing so, he revealed the truth about his arrest before adding that his health was on the line as he suffers from an aneurysm.

Coming up, Victor's health is seemingly taking a turn for the worse as he collapses into a chair in front of a shocked and worried Claudette (Flo Wilson).
Charles keeps an eye on his weary father and soon changes opinion about him – he invites Victor to stay with them.
How will it play out?
As mentioned above, Charles was reluctant to let Victor back into his life and was particularly riled up when it seemed like his daughter Naomi (Karene Peter) was giving her grandfather a chance to show he had changed.
