Towie's Joey Turner poses in red lace as he reveals he's on the brink of QUITTING social media after being 'targeted'

EX TOWIE star Joey Turner posed in red lace as he revealed he's on the brink of QUITTING social media after being targeted by "Karens".

The 20-year-old student sparked concern with his slim frame last month, and this evening suggested the constant comments are taking their toll.

Posting on his Instagram Story, Joey shared Pamela Anderson's final social media post from January of this year.

The lengthy caption explained her decision to quit Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Joey added: "Don't be surprised if one day I just…"

He then added another post about his social media page "being like Disneyland for Karens" as he reflected on "being targeted".

The name "Karen" is regularly used to describe entitled, middle-aged women who complain about everything or create problems and issues for no valid reason.

Joey deleted the second post from his Story less than an hour after writing.

They both came after he'd taken to his main grid to share a new photo from Halloween weekend.

In the snap, Joey looks slimmer than ever in what appears to be a plunging red lace catsuit, and matching spooky contact lenses.

With his newly-bleached hair kept short and groomed, the reality star's prominent cheekbones are attention-grabbing as he pouts for the camera.

He simply captioned the snap: "Alexander McQueen AW98".

Last month, Joey denied to The Sun that he is suffering from an eating disorder after worrying followers with his weight loss.

He told us: "I can’t help that I am skinny. I am not going to apologise to anyone.

I'm not going to apologise for being skinny.

"The thing is I have always had a long thin frame, I am 5ft 11ins so I am quite tall and I have always had a long frame.

“Maybe I have lost weight, but not because I am starving myself.

“I weigh seven and half stone, but I don’t weigh myself. I don’t care about how much I weigh."

He added that he "isn't a foodie" and "doesn't care to participate in gluttony".

Joey insisted that his mum isn't concerned by his size, explaining: "She knows me, she knows my medical history, she knows my metabolism and she knows my mindset."

Joey became a firm favourite on Towie after joining with a wave of new cast members in 2019, and was seen on TV sobbing as he left the show five months ago in emotional scenes.

He revealed he's going back into education after dropping out of Uni when he was approached by show bosses.
