Strictly Come Dancing saw the return of guest judge Cynthia Erivo this weekend, as regular Motsi Mabuse was absent from the show. Motsi missed this week’s live shows after coming into close contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, Cynthia stepped in to help judge the contestants on the BBC dance show. However, an insider has hinted Motsi might be missing from the programme again in the future, as they claim she’s considering leaving Strictly for good.

Motsi first joined the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel back in 2019, taking the place of Darcey Bussell.

In the current series, she sits alongside fellow judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.

However, a source close to Motsi has now revealed she’s no longer “feeling the magic” on the show.

The insider explained: “There is discontent. She’s not getting on as well with the other judges, it’s not the same atmosphere as it has been before.

“This isn’t her home and she’s missing it. She’s not feeling the magic this series and she feels like it might be her time to go,” the source told OK! Magazine.

After watching Cynthia on Strictly over the weekend, many viewers praised the star for her judging on the show.

Some fans even suggested she would make a good permanent addition to the judging panel, sharing their thoughts on Twitter.

“Loving #Cynthia on #Strictly Can we keep her please?” @David_Lee_H asked.

“I love Cynthia on #Strictly,” @78_cowboy said.

@jay_been wrote: “So, can we have a fifth judge on #Strictly please?… Cynthia is awesome!”

“I love Cynthia I don’t care what anyone says her, Motsi and Anton would make the perfect panel on their own #Strictly,” @sukishandbag added.

However, some fans made it clear they were missing Motsi and hoped she’d be back on the show soon.

“Definitely missed @MOTSI_MABUSE tonight, just love her and what she brings to the show, definitely missed what we call the Motsi-isms #strictly,” @Shel_33x commented.

“#strictly I miss Motsi her fabulous hairstyles and sophisticated stylish dresses,” @Michell97251184 said.

However, Motsi recently took to social media herself to detail how much she enjoys working on the show.

“I am so proud to be part of a show @bbcstrictly and @letsdance that brings joy to so many households, to see how much the show is appreciated and loved is heart-warming,” she wrote on Instagram.

Motsi is currently expected to return to Strictly Come Dancing for next weekend’s quarter-final.

Express.co.uk has reached out to Motsi’s representatives for comment.

The competition is heating up as the couples dance their way into the final weeks.

As a result, many viewers are speculating about who will lift the Glitterball Trophy this year.

EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis is currently the favourite to win the series according to bookmaker Betfair.

The bookies currently have Rose with odds of 1/5 that she’ll be crowned the 2021 Strictly champion.
