This Morning reveal Holly Willoughby's new co-host as she prepares to return after Phillip Schofield caught Covid

THIS Morning is to team up two of its most popular stars tomorrow as Holly Willoughby hosts with Josie Gibson for the first time.

The long-time presenter is returning to the ITV hit after being given more than two weeks off to make a series for the BBC.

She is hosting with Josie, usually the show's comedy roving reporter, as her usual co-star Phillip Schofield has Covid.

He threw the show into chaos on Monday after revealing he tested positive – meaning two stands-ins having to present.

First Rochelle Humes was alongside Alison Hammond on Tuesday before she hosted with Vernon Kay today.

The pair revealed the news at the end of Wednesday's This Morning when they told viewers about the next day's line-up.

Rochelle said: "Holly and Josie will be here tomorrow when they'll be chatting to Spiderman star Tom Holland about his new movie."

Many fans were happy with the line-up – which has never been tried before – posting about it on Twitter.

ITV bosses allowed Holly to take a break to work on Wim 'Iceman' Hof’s Superstar Survival with Lee Mack in Southern Europe.

The extended break combined with the post-Christmas holidays mean the star has only hosted four episodes of This Morning all year.

A source told The Sun last month: “Holly loved I’m a Celeb so much it gave her the confidence to strike out on her own and do more mainstream solo TV projects.

“Holly did an excellent job filling in for Ant and was one of the highlights of the show that year.

“She has high career ambitions and is starting the year as she means to go on.

“However, she absolutely loves This Morning and her on-screen partnership with Phillip, so isn’t going anywhere long-term.

"She’s just grateful ITV bosses are giving her the freedom to do her own projects.”
