Fans of The Chase were baffled during a celebrity edition of the ITV game show – and many were asking the same question on Twitter.
The Chase: Celebrity Special aired to ITV on Saturday night (December 18) – and it saw four stars take to the podium to face Shaun The Dark Destroyer Wallace in a bid to win money for their chosen charities.
The celebrities on the show were sports broadcaster Mark Chapman, Sky News reporter Gillian Joseph, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and comedian Fred MacAulay.
However, as soon as the show kicked off, hosted by Bradley Walsh, viewers were scratching their heads – and many for the same reason.
Many viewers weren't sure who the celebrity guests, leading to an awkward flood of Twitter comments during the show as fans tried to work out who the players were.
One confused fan said: "Haven't got a clue who they are."
A second wrote: "No disrespect to the celebrities on The Chase but who the hell are you?"
A third asked: "Is this a celebrity version of The Chase? If so, who are they?"
A fourth said: "They could say this was a civilian The Chase and I genuinely wouldn't know the difference."
A fifth added: "You don't have to be a celebrity to go on the celebrity Chase."
