The Apprentice's Claude Littner confirms when candidates will finally pick team names

Say “Tenacity”, “Connexus”, or “Invicta” to any fan of The Apprentice and it’ll instantly bring back treasured memories of boardroom brawls and legendary Lord Sugar firings.

Team names are huge part of the fun on the BBC reality competition, which is why it’s been so weird that the first couple weeks of the 2018 series have completely skipped the squads spitballing all manner of ridiculous names to settle for an only-slightly-less cringey one in the end.

The nameless teams have definitely been nagging fans, and after the second straight week without team names being decided on Wednesday (October 10), many vented on social media:

One of the lot wisely decided to directly put the question of when fans would “get the chance to see the teams vying over picking a team name” directly to Lord Sugar’s trusted adviser Claude Littner — and they got a very exciting answer!

“Next week,” Claude confirmed to overwhelming social media cheers (we assume).

Considering that a few of the candidates are already having trouble keeping track of their project manager’s names, we can only imagine the confusion when ridiculous team names are thrown into the mix.

While you wait for next week’s show, Digital Spy has chatted with this week’s fired candidate all about how they are “bitterly disappointed” to be going home so early and asked for a prediction on who will win the series.

The Apprentice continues (with all-new team names!) next Wednesday (October 17) at 9pm on BBC One.
