'Survivor: Winners at War' Fans Cannot Stop Arguing Over the Last 10 Minutes of the Episode

Survivor: Winners at War Episode 13 was full of intense moments. Two players were sent to the Edge of Extinction. Two different people won individual immunity. Someone was sent an advantage from the Edge to play against another player, anonymously. However, the last 10 minutes were built up a little too much — fans are calling it a letdown.

What happened on ‘Survivor: Winners at War’ Episode 13?

In the first immunity challenge, Nick Wilson, won — upending the plan to send him to the Edge of Extinction. Instead, Jeremy Collins was voted out. Before the next immunity challenge, Natalie Anderson sent Nick a disadvantage to play on someone.

Nick and Michele Fitzgerald played the disadvantage against Ben Driebergen. Michele won individual immunity, but Nick was sent to the Edge anyway.

With the game now down to only five players, on day 35, many viewers thought we were going to see an Edge of Extinction competition. One previously voted-out player will get to rejoin the game; however, instead, the production gave a recap of how the remaining five players got to where they are.

Many fans were upset to see a recap instead of an Edge of Extinction challenge

“Why didn’t they do the Edge returnee tonight?” asked one fan on Reddit among a slew of similar questions. “They easily had time for it. That also gives fans a week to get excited for the returnee.”

Survivor fans are accustomed to a summary of how the remaining players got to the end. Viewers are all used to seeing a little tribute to how each player was voted out. However, this recap typically happens during the season finale episode.

“Why did we get the finale intro at the end of this episode?” another Redditor questioned.

Along with the many questions regarding why the producers chose to run the recap instead of the Edge of Extinction competition came many complaints.

“I would rather get the recap next week and have the challenge this week,” one of many viewers voiced their opinion.

Some fans worry there will be another recap during the ‘Survivor: Winners at War’ finale

“As long as they don’t do another recap at the beginning of the finale, I’m fine with it,” added another viewer. “The finale should just start with the return challenge and go from there.”

Another group of fans added that if there is no other recap in the finale, it was worth playing it tonight to get it out of the way.

“It would be dumb if they played it again,” one Redditor added. “I assumed the reason they played it tonight was to give us more actual gameplay/footage for the finale.”

Survivor fans hope the recaps are over, and the full three-hour finale is intense gameplay followed by a reunion chat. The season finale of Survivor: Winners at War will air May 13, 2020, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
