I loved last week. I really enjoyed how it looked and I enjoyed dancing with Janette. I was like a Prince and she was the Princess!

Janette and I are great friends and that’s really important, especially as we can’t really see anyone else because of the lockdown and being in our own bubble.

We click as people so when we rehearse we keep going. We have a balance of us having a laugh but also she tells me when I’m going wrong.

She’s a strict teacher but in the best way. She’s really looking after me.

Maisie looked great last weekend, powerful and strong – she absolutely smashed it, so fair play to her. But we’re just friends. I’m here to dance and have a good time!

You can’t even see anyone but your partner anyway because of our social bubbles, so it definitely wouldn’t be the right time to start anything. But Maisie’s a great girl and she’s very beautiful.

I think Jacqui went home too early because she had so much more to give. She was so nice and supportive of everyone – she’s lovely.

She’d come back and be ten times better than she was the week before. I wanted to keep seeing her dance, but someone had to go.

Poor Jamie was in the bottom two as well and I really didn’t want him to go either. He was so nervous, but he smashed his dance.

We all had his back and this week he’s going to be incredible. He’s getting stronger every week.

Speaking of Jamie, it was actually his birthday this week, but sadly we couldn’t do anything for it because we’re not allowed! But I know that Karen made him a cake and I’ll see him on Friday and Saturday at Strictly.

My nan surprised me with a video message on the show and I got a bit emotional. I love my nan so much and she loves the show so , so much. When I told her I was going to be on Strictly, she couldn’t believe it.

I love that she’s supporting me, and she’s even told me all of her friends like a bit of HRVY!

Apparently they are all big fans of me now, which is really, really cool. Hopefully I’ve got a bit of a new audience. I’ve gotta get those nan votes – and the mum votes too!

This weekend we’re going to be performing Gnomeo and Juliet’s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and I’m glad we’re doing something really fun and not serious. It’s uplifting.

I want it to be a bit cheesy, so then I can show a different side of me. It’s fun being a gnome, actually!

I’ve got a whole costume, boots and a little white beard. It’s great because I didn’t really get the chance to dress up for Halloween when I was doing the show last weekend.

Obviously I already knew the song, but now I can’t get it out of my head. I’ve not stopped singing it since I heard it and I really enjoy dancing to it.

Even though it’s a chilled song, the tempo we’re dancing to is really quick and all the techniques, like having to keep my legs straight, are doing my head in a bit, but I’m trying my best!

Things are going in the right direction though. It’s always midweek when you think: ‘Is this going to be good for Saturday?’ I’m hoping tomorrow will be a good day and then we have our dress run on Friday, so I’m hoping it will be OK.

There are a lot of fast turns and you have to lead with your toes first. You can’t put your heal down in the dance whatsoever, which is really weird because when you walk, you go heal-toe. So it’s like learning to walk again!

And Shirley’s really adamant about that stuff – the technique. So if I don’t do it right then I’m not doing the cha cha technically.

I want to really impress all of the judges for different reasons. Motsi’s given me a nine both weeks and I don’t want to go backwards from that so hopefully I can keep getting nines.

Obviously I got a seven last week from Craig, so hopefully maybe I can get higher than that.

And Shirley, every week has been really good with explaining all the technique side of things, so I want to show her that I can do it.
