What’s a series of Strictly Come Dancing without Bruno Tonioli falling off his chair, eh?
Well, the ever-enthusiastic judge took a rather painful-looking tumble on tonight’s (October 6) Movie Week while the judges were giving their feedback.
As Craig Revel Horwood was offering his thoughts on Dr Ranj Singh and Janette Manrara’s Quickstep to ‘Prince Ali’ from Aladdin, everyone was momentarily distracted by Bruno.
“Bruno just fell off his chair!” Tess Daly told everyone. “Are you alright, my darling?”
“I’m sorry Craig,” Bruno declared as he got back up.
“He was disagreeing with Craig,” Tess then joked, before she asked him if he needed a doctor.
“It was very slow,” Bruno clarified, joking that he was “fabulous”. Well, we know you are Bruno, but we do hope you’re okay.
Viewers at home certainly enjoyed the moment:
While Bruno’s tumble may have distracted from Craig’s comments somewhat, one person who hasn’t been too pleased with the ever-harsh judge’s feedback was last week’s eliminee Susannah Constantine.
Recalling his less-than-glowing comments on her dance, she revealed: “I wanted to slap him. Afterwards I went up to him – yes to literally slap him – but he was so nice to me that I couldn’t.
“He said, ‘Darling, I’ve done you a favour, because the only way is up’, and he gave me a few pointers about how I could improve for the next dance.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
