The professional dancers headed to the Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, Herfordshire earlier this year to film the special dance number to launch tonight's Movie Week.
Dancers including Kevin Clifton, Janette Manrara and Oti Mabuse dressed in an array of Hogwarts-inspired school uniforms to dance around the set made famous by the Daniel Radcliffe film franchise.
With the Hogwarts Express ready to go, the dancers whipped around with suitcases, brooms and books as they danced to film's theme tune.
The Sun first revealed all about the special collaboration back in August, with a show insider saying: "Strictly and Warner Bros have been in top secret talks.
“Hopefully studio reps will agree to allow the celebrities to dance with some of the most iconic props, like Harry’s broom used by Daniel Radcliffe or Hermione’s cloak worn by Emma Watson.
While it was just the professionals who got to go on the set, before the action switched to the studio, it was no less impressive.
Viewers were delighted by the routine, and took to Twitter in their droves to praise the show.
One wrote: "A Harry Potter themed dance" with loved up emojis, while another added: "hi I'm crying at this Harry Potter dance I'm a mess #Strictly."
A third shared: "Omg!! This opening is amazing!! A #potterhead dream!" while a fourth tweeted: "I am living for this harry potter opening!!"
They weren't alone in their praise, as another shared a gif of Harry Potter clapping and wrote: "That opening routine was EVERYTHING #Strictly."
A fellow fan added: "Loved that Harry Potter opening #Strictly."
