Stephen set to kill murder victim's wife as she figures out the truth in Corrie

A few months ago in Coronation Street, Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) murdered a businessman called Rufus (Steven Meo).

The sleazy character discovered that Stephen had been drugging Carla (Alison King) with LSD and so, just like his previous victims, Rufus lost his life as Stephen couldn’t bare to have him reveal the truth to everyone.

Stephen drowned Rufus in his swimming pool, with the police believing that he lost his life in a tragic accident after taking drugs.

Stephen’s actions return to haunt him in upcoming episodes, as Rufus’ wife, Lou, calls at the factory and tells Stephen and Michael (Ryan Russell) that she’s cancelled the meeting as the inquest report into Rufus’ death is due out tomorrow, she suspects foul play and has contacted the Gazette.

Alone in the factory, a panicked Stephen scours the press for reports about Rufus’ death.

As the week continues, Lou approaches Stephen and Carla (Alison King) and reveals that Coroner concluded Rufus died by misadventure.

Convinced that isn’t the complete truth, Lou tells Stephen that as far as she’s concerned, her husband’s drug-fuelled death doesn’t stack up.

Towards the end of the week, Stephen is then horrified when he sees his tie pin in a bag that Lou shows him which contains the things found at the side of the pool when Rufus died.

Lou reveals that she’s going to show the tie pin to the police as it didn’t belong to Rufus, but what will Stephen do next?

If Lou finds out the truth about Stephen and how Rufus died, is she going to lose her life as well?
