Steph McGovern has announced her new Channel 4 show has come to a halt following the coronavirus lockdown.
The new mum tried to keep The Steph Show going during the current crisis and aired a number of episodes from the comfort of her living room.
However, the 37-year-old has decided to pull the plug on her quarantine set up, but hopes to continue her programme once everything is back to normal.
Taking to Twitter, the star confirmed the news to her 400,000 followers.
‘As much as I’ve loved doing a lockdown show at home I never expected it to go on this long,’ she said.
‘We’ve decided it’s time to have a break and give my family our home back.’
Seph continued: ‘The proper prog will be launching when the Leeds studio is sorted, I may still be wearing slippers.’
She then told her fans that the final episode (for now) will air next month, adding: ‘The last locked down version of #TheStephShow will be next Thurs 7th May.
‘Then the plan is to launch again at our fancy studios at Leeds Docks in a couple of months, once they’re safely up and running.’
People were quick to comment, and applauded her on her efforts during the pandemic.
‘You’ve done so well under the circumstances! Enjoy having your home back,’ one wrote while another added: ‘Thank you for keeping us entertained during lockdown. Loved the show!’
Someone else felt the same: ‘Thank you for lightening the load for a wonderful few weeks. It was the positive power hour we all needed. Can’t wait for your return again soon.’
Others echoed a similar sentiment: ‘Totally understand , we live in a strange world and you’ve coped brilliantly . See you when we’re back to something resembling NORMAL.’
Steph previously presented on BBC Breakfast, but broke away from her hosting duties to explore the new project.
However, a source recently touched on how recording the show from home is starting to ‘irritate’ the neighbours.
An insider told The Sun: ‘This seemed a good move to get the new show on air as planned.
‘But unfortunately, it has now gone on for some time and neighbours are getting increasingly irritable.’
They added: ‘The thought of this carrying on for many more weeks has been too much for them to accept.’
The Steph Show will air for one last time in lockdown next Thursday on Channel 4.
