Spoilers: Peter assaults Carla's tormentors in Corrie revenge twist?

Carla Connor (Alison King) bravely stood up to tormentors Chesley (Isobella Hubbard) and Jordan (James Boyland) in Coronation Street, but has Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) sought violent revenge on her behalf?

With Peter having walked in on Jordan threatening to reveal her secret, Carla decided to take back control of the situation, as she told her beau the truth.

Peter was devastated, but he was also angry that Jordan took advantage of her while she was in a vulnerable state. Carla managed to calm him down — revealing that she needs to get the money to pay them off.

He wasn’t happy about such a thing, but he ultimately complied, as he knew it was what she wanted.

After getting the funds together, they prepared themselves for Chelsey and Jordan’s inevitable arrival, and — before long — the tormentors turned up in the Rovers during a particularly busy period.

However, as they made more threats, Carla decided she’d had enough, and reclaimed control, as she rang the bell, and — after getting the whole pub’s attention — revealed that she slept with Jordan in exchange for a roof over her head when she was sleeping rough.

Jordan and Chelsey were fuming, as they knew they’d lost their leverage over Carla. Therefore, Scott kicked them out of the Rovers.

Peter was irate, and set about leaving the pub, but where did he go?

He returned much later with a pizza, which he and Carla devoured, but as she set off to get some plates from the kitchen, a radio report about an assault on Brightwell Estate could be heard.

The victims of said assault were a young woman and a young man, and Peter switched off the radio before Carla heard the report.

Were Chelsey and Jordan the victims?

If so, is Peter responsible?

He did threaten Chesley earlier in the week, so could he be capable of such an attack?

Coronation Street continues Monday 22 June at 7:30pm on ITV.
