Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) lashed out at son Vinny (Bradley Johnson) in Emmerdale tonight (November 11), but will he resort to violence once more?
Vinny stole money from Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) scrapyard during Tuesday’s hour-long episode (November 10), in an effort to cover that Paul had gambled Mandy’s (Lisa Riley) money, which she was saving for a deposit on their new home.
However, little did he know that Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) had witnessed the whole thing, and in tonight’s episode, she confronted him on the matter.
Vinny ultimately came clean, revealing that he only stole the money so that he could replace the cash his dad had gambled, and Liv felt sorry for him.
She promised to keep shtum — providing that he pay Aaron back — but also issued him with an ultimatum: if Paul doesn’t tell Mandy about his addiction, then she will.
When Vinny reiterated this ultimatum to Paul, he was fuming and violently lashed out at his son, leaving Vinny cowering in the corner, using a chair for protection.
Will Paul assault Vinny once more?
Speaking about whether Paul could be redeemed, actor Reece Dinsdale previously said: ‘Who knows if we get there with Paul? At this point, if I’m being brutally honest, with the material they’re giving me I’m thinking: “How do you come back from this?”
‘There would have to be a Damascene moment that changes Paul’s whole life, but now it’s very bleak, very dark and I can’t see how we get off the treadmill.’
