Spoilers: Belle goes to prison as Jamie exacts devilish revenge in Emmerdale?

Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) was left devastated in Emmerdale tonight (October 16), as she was charged with Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) hit-and-run after reports of a witness having come forward.

Belle took drastic action in Thursday’s episode when she decided to inform Millie Tate about Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) being responsible for Moira’s accident.

Andrea (Anna Nightingale) was horrified by the young woman’s actions, and subsequently informed Jamie about what she’d done.

Jamie was horrified also, and decided that enough was enough, and therefore set out to get revenge on his ex-lover.

With Belle desperate to make amends, she headed to the vets to speak to Jamie, but as she did so, the police arrived and arrested her on suspicion of causing the hit-and-run.

Belle was devastated, but accompanied the investigating detective down to the police station, where she learned that a mystery witness had come forward — and that they’re claiming to have seen Belle in Jamie’s vehicle on the night in question!

Belle attempted to explain how this witness is evidently being paid by Jamie, as she didn’t commit the crime, but the detective refused to listen to her and subsequently charged her!

With Jamie’s plan for revenge having evidently worked, will Belle find herself going to prison for a crime she did not commit?

Emmerdale continues Monday October 19 at 7pm on ITV.
