BGT: BoyCanto member shuts down Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell and the other Britain’s Got Talent judges welcomed a group called Boycanto onto the stage on Saturday night.

However, the 63-year-old judge was on the receiving end of a jibe from 11-year-old Harrison who was part of the boys-only group.

When Harrison and his friends took to the stage, the judging panel was keen to hear about them.

They told Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Simon they hoped to inspire other children to perform.

The boys were going to perform a rendition of Revolting Children from the West End musical Matilda.

Ahead of their performance, Harrison shared: “We’re from all around England and we’re here to promote boys dancing, singing, and acting.”

Amanda asked: “If you won, what would mean more to you, performing in front of King Charles or winning £250,000?”

Harrison said he would rather perform for King Charles at the Royal Variety Performance than take home the cash.

Simon then snapped his fingers, but Harrison wasn’t finished just yet with his reply.

Harrison swiped: “You’ve gotta remember, it’s not all about the money, Simon!”

Simon’s fellow judges were left in stitches following the youngster’s shutdown.

However, Simon replied: “I 100 percent agree with you.”

Their uptempo performance earned the boys four yeses from the judges which meant they were through to the next round.

Following their act, Simon teased: “You are revolting, and that’s a good thing.

“This was a really, really good audition, but just be really badly behaved going forwards.”

Alesha added: “My daughter’s obsessed with Matilda and I think children are gonna absolutely love you, your passion and energy were fantastic.”

Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturday at 8pm on ITV and ITVX.
