Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) and Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) fall out in Hollyoaks next week, sparking concerns that their relationship could be on the rocks.
The loved up duo first clash over an expensive gift in this Friday’s (August 13) E4 first-look episode, and a heated argument ensues.
Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson), having got wind of the showdown, offers Juliet some motherly advice.
Unfortunately, her mum’s words of wisdom leave Juliet feeling worse, and thus she storms out!
Donna-Marie, therefore, decides to take matters into her own hands, and stages an intervention for the couple.
Will she succeed in reuniting them? Or will Juliet and Peri’s happiness come to an end?
Only time will tell!
Actress Niamh Blackshaw was hoping for a long-term future for the fictional couple when Metro.co.uk spoke to her earlier this year, but she did warn off a ‘rocky road’ ahead. And that’s exactly what appears to be transpiring on-screen!
‘I would [like to see some happiness],’ the actress told us. ‘I think she’s been through so much bad stuff that she deserves a little bit of happiness, but this is Hollyoaks, so it’s going to be a rocky road!
‘I think that the relationship between Peri and Juliet is positive, and hopefully going to be a good thing in the long run.’
All we can hope is that Donna-Marie succeeds in uniting Juliet and Peri, or Jeri, as they’re known to fans of the show.
One to watch: Friday August 13 at 7pm on E4.
