Secret signs Susanna Reid can't stand Richard Madeley amid tension on Good Morning Britain, body language expert claims | The Sun

A BODY language expert has revealed the secret signs that apparently prove Susanna Reid can't stand Richard Madeley.

Darren Stanton has analysed the interactions between the co-hosts on Good Morning Britain amid rumours of a feud.

He claims Susanna's facial expressions and body language give away her feelings of "disdain" towards Richard.

Speaking to The Sun on behalf of Slingo, Darren Stanton said: "You’ll notice that Susanna often rolls her eyes or flashes a certain micro-expression of smugness, a one-sided smile, during her exchanges with Richard – suggesting deep down she has feelings of disdain and is often in disagreement with him.

"Richard, meanwhile, is known for saying exactly what he thinks. It’s hard to say if the pair are feuding, however, there are visible signs of tensions during their exchanges where it’s clear they can rub each other up the wrong way."

The pair's alleged feud escalated during coverage of the Oscars back in March.

Richard and Susanna clashed as they discussed the shocking moment Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage.

Susanna was horrified by the incident and said there was no justification for what Will did.

But Richard argued it was an "understandable" reaction in the heat of the moment.

Susanna's body language towards Richard immediately changed – and viewers sensed the friction.

Darren continued: "Working closely on a fast paced ever-changing live TV show like Good Morning Britain is obviously going to create tension between cast and crew at certain times due to the nature of the job.

"It’s clear that Susanna and Richard are completely opposite and their opinions differ when it comes to many topics.

"We saw them clash hugely over Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars – during this exchange Susanna’s facial expressions and body language suggested she was not impressed with Richard.

"When two people are in agreement, their bodies will match each other and this wasn’t the case with the presenters.

"Susanna raised her eyebrows, her lips pursed ever slightly, indicating she was feeling frustrated and angry to some extent with Richard’s opinion on the matter.

"During a recent debate about privatisation of the BBC, Susanna, having worked for the BBC, was naturally very loyal and demonstrated her gratefulness for what the channel has done for her career.

"Richard, however, took a more outspoken approach – again frustrating Susanna and visibly leaving her feeling agitated."
