Pregnant Towie star Georgia Kousoulou admits she's 'too scared to leave the house' due to coronavirus

PREGNANT Georgia Kousoulou has admitted that she is "too scared to leave the house" due to coronavirus, as she shared that being pregnant during the pandemic is not what she'd ever have hoped for.

The 29-year-old star opened up about her journey to motherhood in a candid Q&A with fans on Instagram.

One concerned follower asked: "How do you feel about pregnancy with Covid being bad at the moment?" to which the Towie favourite replied: "To be honest, I am literally not leaving my house.

"I am trying to get spaces online for food shops. I just feel when you're pregnant your immune system is down.

"It's just a scarier time as obviously I am growing a human."

Responding to another fan, Georgia said of her lockdown pregnancy: "To be honest, it's not my ideal situation.

"I wouldn't have planned this for myself but we are blessed to be pregnant and all I can do is stay safe."

Last month, Georgia admitted that she felt "panicked" and "overwhelmed" when she was told she'd need to undergo diabetes testing after doctors noticed the unborn baby's larger-than-usual tummy.

The mum-to-be said that she cried during the medical appointment, although she has since reassured fans that experts have told her the baby is okay.

Georgia and boyfriend Tommy Mallet announced that they were expecting their first baby together shortly before Christmas.

They have been together for six years and The Sun previously revealed that ITVBe and Lime Pictures producers are already making spin-off episodes all about the Towie couple preparing to become mum and dad.

A TV insider said: “Anyone worried that Georgia and Tommy will suddenly disappear from our screens now they are having a baby needn’t worry.

“As well as the special spin-off episodes they will also be staying on the main Towie show for some time to come.

“They’re two of its most popular characters so producers are delighted to have them stick around, especially when the two lovebirds become a family of three.”

The pair confirmed their pregnancy news with an Instagram snap, which showed them cuddling their pet dog while holding up a baby scan.

The moment they told their friends and family the news was also captured in an episode of The Only Way Is Essex.

Georgia previously wrote: "WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!? MAY 2021❤️ We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives ? such lovely news to end this crazy year ! Let the next chapter begin.. ✨

"I’m so excited for you all to see how we announced it on tomorrow’s @towie honestly it’s the best thing ever, so special and so emotional & no one knew so it was even better , I literally don’t know how we kept it to ourselves !! Get your tissues ready ?✨✨"
