The couple – who met on the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing – announced their happy news on social media on Friday, a year after they confirmed their romance.
Today, Gemma, 34, and dad-to-be Gorka, 28, were seen leaving The Hits Radio building in Manchester, laden down with gifts.
The mum-to-be hid her stomach behind a large bouquet of brightly coloured flowers, while dressed casually in a pink hooded top, black jeans and a winter coat.
She also carried a water bottle and smiled broadly as she headed to her car with Gorka.
Meanwhile the Spanish dancer carried a box and a brightly coloured bag also filled with gifts.
The hunk, who wore black jeans, a beige hooded top and black biker jacket, also gave a big smile and a thumbs up to the cameras as he walked beside his girlfriend.
The couple were delighted to share their news on Instagram on Friday, and both posted a picture of Gemma's dogs Norm and Ollie.
The canines both wore signs around their necks, one read "Guess what…mum's pregnant" while the other said: "We're going to be big brothers!"
Gorka wrote in the caption: "@glouiseatkinson Thank you for the greatest gift in life.
"Myself and Gem are beyond thrilled to be welcoming our new family member later this year! Baby Marquez.
"Norm and ollie can’t wait to start their big brother duties."
Former Emmerdale actress Gemma shared the same picture and wrote: "And what Amazing big brothers they will be!
"Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year.
"Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already."
