Pointless announces string of new all-star hosts as BBC quiz show gets major shake-up | The Sun

POINTLESS has announced a string of new all-star hosts as the BBC quiz show gets a major shake-up.

The programme is presented by Alexander Armstrong, who has been joined by a series of guest co-hosts ever since Richard Osman left the show last year.

Alexander, 52, and Richard, also 52, had presented the show together since it began in 2009.

However, he decided to leave last year so he could focus on his successful writing career and his own show, Richard Osman's House of Games.

Since then, Alexander has been joined by guest hosts including Sally Lindsay, Stephen Mangan and Ed Gamble.

Some faired better than others among Pointless viewers, and now the show has announced a new batch of famous faces will be joining Alexander.

Alexander said: “It has been a really fun process sharing the hosting with so many different guests.

"They have all brought their own styles and senses of humour, keeping the show fresh and exciting every time and I can’t wait to welcome more celebrity hosts to the show this year.”

Andi – currently on our screens on BBC Two's Great British Menu – said: "Oh I’m SO excited to be getting to sit in the famous chair next to the delicious Alexander Armstrong!
