PIERS Morgan joked Susanna Reid had lost "23lbs on the Crystal Palace diet" on Good Morning Britain today as he ribbed her about her new boyfriend Steve Parish.
The 53-year-old told viewers Susanna tried to bribe him into going easy on her after The Sun revealed she has been secretly dating the Crystal Palace chairman — but of course he refused.
Piers kicked off the show by telling viewers: "Susanna came into my dressing room this morning clutching this, which is a very nice bottle of champagne.
"It turns out it was a bribe, she was literally bribing me to not be too mean to her. So, anything that you want to share with the group?"
Charlotte Hakwins got to the point and said: "We're very pleased for you Susanna!" as Piers added: "Honestly couldn't be happier for you."
But Susanna, 47, asked Piers: "Are you jealous?"
The host conceded that Steve is a great catch, even by his high standards – before he slipped in a crude joke at Susanna's expense.
He said: "He is good looking, very rich, very successful – the only thing about being usurped by a fine specimen like that is that Crystal Palace are terrible. Even you've scored more than them!"
Later during a row about vegans, he made another innuendo packed joke when he said: "How much (weight) have you lost? 23lbs? You've lost 23lbs on the Crystal Palace diet."
Susanna recently hinted she was dating again to co-host Piers and ITV viewers.
The two-month romance is her first since the end of her 16-year relationship with Dominic Cotton — dad of her three teenage sons. They split in 2014.
Divorced Steve, 53, has two grown-up daughters and is worth an estimated £45million.

A friend said: “Susanna and Steve are exclusively dating. It’s extremely early days but they’re having a lot of fun. They have known each other for several years through their connections to Palace.
“Over the summer they started hanging out more and fell for each other. They have a real chemistry, a wicked sense of humour and both are real family people. Plus, of course, they share a love of the Eagles.”
Last month, they were pictured at a charity performance of hit musical Hamilton, where they were joined by Prince Harry and wife Meghan.
