This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were stuck in the middle of a row as they were joined by friends Jessica Allen and Eliza Moore, who were slapped with a £200 fine after going for a socially-distanced walk in the countryside, five miles from their home. They were also joined by former police officer Norman Brennan who made his thoughts on the issue very clear, with Phillip having to remind the guests to remain “on topic” on two occasions as the row erupted.
“What do you think about the fact there were five of them in an empty car park in the middle of nowhere?” Phillip asked.
Norman hit out at those not sticking to guidelines, replying: “Some members of the public are pushing the parameters.
“It’s a free for all,” he declared. “Let’s talk about what this is about, it’s about saving lives. The police are trying to save lives.

Norman assured he was talking about people “in general” with Phillip once again urging him to “stick on topic”.
