PETER Andre has hit out at Lauren Goodger over her anti-vaxx rant – calling her "careless" and "wrong".
The former Towie star, 34, was quoted as saying she would reject the coronavirus vaccine and likened the disease to having a cold.
The remarks earned Lauren a rebuke from Piers Morgan, who called her an "absolute half-wit" on Good Morning Britain.
Writing in New magazine, 47-year-old Peter – who is himself battling coronavirus – also poured scorn on her opinions.
The singer said: "She’s also said she doesn’t wear a mask.
"I don’t have anything against anyone who wants to express their views, unless what they say can be detrimental to other people’s health.
"Personally, I think it’s a careless thing to say. It’s just the wrong message.
"I know at least two people who have been in a bad way with coronavirus and have been on oxygen for quite a while. It’s no joke.
"With a lot of people, I think unless it’s happened to them, or someone close to them has been really unwell, they don’t realise how serious it can be."
Peter, whose wife is an NHS doctor added: "It’s also scary to know some people don’t even care about the pandemic and some even think it’s a hoax."
In remarks reported by the Star, Lauren claimed she'd already had coronavirus, writing: "I didn't die from it. It is like getting it a cold."
She added of the vaccine: "I don't want to inject myself with something I don't know the long-term effects."
Peter has had a tough time with coronavirus, saying it's left him so exhausted he wants to sleep "all the time".
