Peter Andre reveals ‘beautiful’ gift he gave wife Emily to celebrate 10th anniversary together | The Sun

PETER Andre said he surprised his wife Emily with a "beautiful" gift on their 10th anniversary together.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 49, marked the milestone occasion with something expensive and sparkly.

Peter pulled out all the stops by gifting his wife a diamond ring.

Peter married Emily in 2015, after a three-year relationship. The pair first met in 2010 when Peter was treated for kidney stones by Emily's father, and went public with their romance two years later.

"We gave each other some lovely gifts. I know the traditional gifts for seven years are wool and copper, but I saw a beautiful ring a couple of months ago that I really liked, and as we’re also celebrating 10 years together, I just bought it," Peter said in his OK! Magazine column.

Peter – who has been married to Emily for seven years – said he's planning something "very special" for their 10th wedding anniversary in three years time.

The singer continued: "I know it’s not about presents, it’s about us being together and marking a milestone, but why not?

"After all, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, right? When we get to 10 years of marriage I want to do something really special, so watch this space."

Speaking about his seventh wedding anniversary, Peter said: "Emily and I had an amazing time celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary.

"We went out for a quick dinner, just the two of us, and we were laughing the whole time.

"Princess has been doing a bit of babysitting for us, but only when Junior is home. She loves it, but then Junior says, 'Well if I’m home too, why aren’t I getting paid for babysitting?' It’s a good point, I guess."

Last week, Peter made a sweet video montage to celebrate the occasion and told Emily she has "a heart of gold".

He collated photographs of himself and 32-year-old Emily and set them to romantic piano music.

Sharing his finished video on Instagram, Peter then wrote: "Happy 7th wedding anniversary to a beautiful person inside and out.

"We have been together for 10 incredible years. You deserve to be praised Emily because you have a heart of pure gold.

"Thanks for everything. Our kids are truly lucky to have you. So am I."

Peter first met Emily in 2010. He was introduced to her through her father, Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh.

He had been due to appear at the Plymouth Pavilions when he was rushed to hospital in excruciating pain and diagnosed with kidney stones.

Peter was treated by Dr MacDonagh, who is a consultant urologist, and gave him tickets to his rescheduled gig to say thank you. It was there that he was introduced to Emily.
