TOWIE star Pete Wicks has said that he "regrets" having to fight Jennifer Ellison on Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

The hit show returned to the screens on Sunday night (September 4) with a new star-studded line-up ready to take on the gruelling challenges.

In Sunday night's episode all recruits were forced to fight each other in the milling task, described as "one of the most violent".

Ahead of the fight, Pete shook his head and admitted he didn’t want to ‘"fight a woman".

He later added in an interview: "I just don’t know if I can fight a bird," saying he hates the idea of anyone fighting his mum.

Meanwhile, Jennifer added in her interview: "I’m all for equal opportunities and everything, but I would be a bit scared fighting a fella, because they’re stronger than you and bigger than you."

After the fight both the recruits ended up in tears with Pete crying "I punched her in the back of the head," before apologising to the actress.

"Don’t be stupid," Jennifer told him

Speaking to press ahead of the episode airing, Pete revealed: "I really didn’t want to do it, everyone was f**ked, it did really upset me."

He continued: "I told Rudy [Reyes] I didn’t want to do it, and he said I had to, and he said, 'Just get her out quick.‘ Jen came out like a f**king trooper, I do regret it, I feel awful.

"If it had been one of the boys, I’d feel different. Jen of all people, I really love Jen and it wasn’t nice to be put in that position."

During the milling, EastEnders actress Maisie Smith was partnered up with TOWIE's Ferne McCann, who she labelled as "crazy."

Maisie told The Sun: "They went, 'Go,' and I wasn’t expecting her to just go crazy. But she literally just went, 'Agh,' and just screamed. I think she shut her eyes, screamed and just went crazy.

"I thought, 'OK. I need to step up my game'. I was going for a solid minute with just screaming and punching, like a proper cat fight.

"I got a couple of good punches in. It wasn’t like a normal boxing ring. It was nonstop."

Pete and Maisie are starring alongside the likes of Olympic javelin star Fatima Whitbread, Olympic gold medallist Jade Jones, boxer Shannon Courtenay, and Paralympic high jumper Johnathan Broom-Edwards.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 tonight, Sunday, 4 September at 9pm.
