Nick Cordero’s wife vows hospitalized star is on an ‘uphill climb’ as she sings his songs and thanks fans for support – The Sun

Nick Cordero’s wife vowed the hospitalized star is on an ‘uphill climb’ as she sang his songs and thanked fans for their support.

The Tony Award-nominated actor has been battling coronavirus in the ICU for almost two months.

Yesterday, Amanda posted a video on Instagram of herself singing Nick's original song, Live Your Life, with their 11-month-old son, Elvis.

She captioned the post: "We have had a tough week but Nick showed us yet again how strong he is and we are back on an uphill climb."

Amanda also shared: "This rollercoaster has been a wild one with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, but the support and energy that comes at 3pm ALWAYS puts me on a high!"

Earlier in the weekend Amanda shared: "Just a little Nick update, it's been a tough week.

"Nick suffered from some new lung infection in his lungs earlier this week.

"Since then he's been slowly recovering, which is great."

She continued: "Day by day, hour by hour, he's getting better. So he is slowly getting back to where he was before this infection came about and that's good."

Last week Nick seemed to take a turn for the worse, Amanda shared.

The mom broke down in tears and shared: "Nick has had a bad morning. Unfortunately, things are going a little downhill at the moment.

"I am asking again for all the prayers right now."

She added: "I know that this virus is not going to get him down.

"This is not how his story ends. So just keep us in your thoughts and prayers, thank you."

Amanda had recently announced Nick was finally conscious, although he was continuing to fight off a lingering lung infection.

The 41-year-old had suffered complications from COVID-19, which forced doctors to amputate his right leg because of blood clots.

Amanda also noted Nick's doctors' upcoming "long-term big goals" for him include moving him off of dialysis and off of a ventilator.
