ONE budding chef made a stunning revelation during last night's episode of Next Level Chef when they were unable to identify a basic ingrediant.
The ITV cooking contest features a number of hopeful chefs all aiming to make it through to the 'next level' all under the watchful eye of Gordon Ramsay.
But during the latest episode, there was shock when one contestant admitted he had never heard of nor seen a leek.
27 year old social media chef Temi admitted to chef Paul Ainsworth that he hadn't got a clue what the leek was on his preparation dish.
He picked up the vegetable and admitted: "I'll be honest, I'm not sure what this is called chef, what is that?"
A stunned Paul simply remarked: "Leek."

As Temi then repeated him and continued to get on with his food preparation, Paul was forced to ask him again if he was being serious about not knowing what a leek was.
The shocked chef said: "Seriously, you never, never used leek before?"
As Paul held up the item and stared across at Temi, the contestant replied: "I don't use leek chef, no!"
Paul was flabbergasted and could not get around the fact that someone who had made it onto the hit show did not know what the item was.
