Curtis Delamere (Sam Retford) is rushed to hospital in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, after he collapses while trying to help Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) shift his car.
It’s a big week for Curtis, as he’s got a medical exam approaching. Steve resolves to give him a lift, but when Curtis gets in the car, it fails to start.
Curtis exits the vehicle, and decides to give it a push. His actions are successful, as the car roars back to life.
But things take a shocking turn when Curtis sinks to his knees, clutching his chest.
The above video clip – taken from Wednesday’s (November 3) second edition of the ITV soap – reveals that Steve takes Curtis to the hospital in the wake of the incident.
Still clutching his chest, Curtis tells the doctor that he’s got pains. Steve, meanwhile, resolves to call Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) to let her know what’s happened.
Curtis, however, asks that he play it down so as not to worry her too much.
‘Just play it down, please Steve,’ he begs. ‘Just say I’ve had a little wobble or something.
‘Don’t make a big drama of it. You know what she’s like.’
Steve smiles, and agrees to do as Curtis asks.
‘Be a brave soldier,’ he responds.
Subsequent scenes will see Curtis return to the flat, claiming that all he needs is rest.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday November 3 at 8:30pm on ITV.
