‘NCIS: Los Angeles’: A string of Murders Alarms the Team and Kessler Reappears

NCIS: Los Angeles will dive into the mysterious murders of Naval officers. In another unexpected turn of events, Kensi gets a troubling message from someone in her past she would like to forget. Here’s what happens this week on NCIS: Los Angeles.

Naval officers are being killed on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’

During NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 Episode 17 (titled “Through the Looking Glass), the team is alarmed when they learn a Naval intelligence officer was tortured and killed. Unfortunately, they find out from an old friend (CIA Officer Joelle Taylor) that other Naval officers were killed in a similar way. The murders seem to follow a pattern. They need to find out who is committing these crimes.

Kensi receives a disturbing message

In a sneak peak of episode 17, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) receives a postcard from David Kessler that says, “Welcome from beautiful Los Angeles.” He writes, “Hope there are no hard feelings; life can be too short.” Unfortunately, it seems like Kessler is in the area and he’s looking to make good on his past threat to torture and kill her.

Kessler and Kensi have history. She was responsible for putting him in jail many years ago. Her work on his case is what helped her snag a job with the Office of Special Projects. However, Kessler became obsessed with Kensi and would send disturbing messages to the Los Angeles headquarters.

During NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 Episode 5 (titled “Raising the Dead”), Kessler threatened to come after Kensi. Hopefully, his threat doesn’t come true during episode 17. Deeks is disturbed by the situation. “Does he scare you?” he asks Kensi. “Well, he scares me,” he responds.

Who plays David Kessler on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’?

Frank Military plays the role of David Kessler on NCIS: Los Angeles. He is also the writer of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12, Episode 5. Ruah told TV Line she was thrilled to have Military in the episode.

“I was so happy and excited, because who better to play to play this dark, twisted character than the guy that thought him up?” says Ruah. “Frank was an actor 20 years ago before he became the incredible writer that he is.”

One of Military’s early roles was in a 1985 episode of Miami Vice titled “Nobody Lives Forever.” The following year, he appeared in the TV movie C.A.T. Squad. Military made his film debut in the 1989 movie Dead Bang, in which he played the role of Bobby Burns. He’s also known for his appearances in Last Exit to Brooklyn, Superboy, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
