MasterChef's Gregg Wallace says he doesn't believe in diets and still eats carbs and boozes despite 4st weight loss

MASTERCHEF judge Gregg Wallace insists he still eats carbs and boozes because he "doesn't believe in diets" – despite four stone weight loss.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, the 56-year-old beamed about how he's transformed his life after dropped from 16st to 12st.

He even asked Ben Shepherd what he made of his new body – and the presenter replied: "Sensational".

Quizzed on how he's lost the weight, Gregg said: "I don't believe in diets.

"I don't believe in doing something you can't sustain.

"I don't believe in starving yourself three times a week, I don't believe in not having carbs.

"I do believe in enjoying a pint of beer and glass of wine.

"I don't believe in starting something radical that you can't keep up.

"What I firmly believe in is making positive steps in the right direction gradually and that way you move yourself into a healthy lifestyle gradually and that means you never do anything that's uncomfortable.

"You don't have to be uncomfortable or hungry to lose weight. You just have to learn what foods you can eat.

"You can eat as much as you want of the right foods."

Foodie Gregg lost four stone after being warned by doctors that he was heading for a heart attack.

The presenter made a number of lifestyle changes in order to shed the pounds, including hitting the gym.

He also cut down his five pints a day to two pub visits a week and swapping fried foods and pizzas for healthy home cooked meals.

Last week he admitted the Covid-19 pandemic made him "fearful for overweight men".
