What will happen in Lucifer season 5, episode 9?

Lucifer season five, episode nine is expected to air in early 2021 on Netflix worldwide.

As fans eagerly await the next eight episodes, on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), fans were treated to a short teaser of what is to come.

The official Lucifer Twitter account posted a fan cam video of Chloe Decker’s best moments.

Just as it looked like the 50-second montage was coming to an end, the final 10 seconds featured a scene from Lucifer season five, episode nine.

The clip shows a confused and dazed Chloe Decker walking around the offices of the LAPD, searching for Lucifer, asking a passing colleague: “Have you seen Lucifer?”

As time as resumed, the glass from the window which Lucifer crashed through during his fight with Michael is still falling to the floor in real-time, with Lucifer nowhere to be seen.

At the end of part one, Chloe told Lucifer she loved him and was nervously awaiting Lucifer’s response.

However, before Lucifer could say the three words she had been wanting to hear, Amenadiel froze time, with only the celestial beings on Earth remaining unfrozen.

Just as it looked like Lucifer season five, part one, was about to end on a huge cliffhanger, Michael once again, burst onto the scene.

However, this time, he was joined by Maze, who had decided to side with the evil angel.

Maze, who had been struggling with the idea she had no soul and feeling betrayed by Lucifer’s lies about her mother Lilith (L. Scott Caldwell), had been promised a soul by Michael if she joined him, which she accepted.

Lucifer ended on a huge cliffhanger, with God appearing on the steps of the LAPD office, announcing: “Children. You know I hate it when you fight.”

There are endless possibilities of where Lucifer can be but one thing is for sure, fans are hoping he has not returned to hell once again.

On the other hand, Lucifer, Maze, Michael and God may have returned to God’s home – heaven.

Alternatively, the first episode of part two is titled Family Dinner and will most likely see all of the celestial beings on Earth try to make peace with each other.

Fans have taken to Twitter to share their theories on Lucifer’s whereabouts and what will happen next.

Some fans believe Chloe will believe Lucifer had fled after she said I Love You.

They wrote: “She probably thinks he left because he was pressured to say I love you.”

However, another Lucifer fan had other ideas.

They responded: “No, I don’t think so. I am sure God has something to do with it but I guess we won’t know till then. Lucifer and Chloe will be together, I have to believe that they will be ok.”

A third fan added: “She sees the broken glass, she knows something BIG happened and she will find out cause she is THE DETECTIVE.”

Elsewhere, episode nine may see the debut of Inbar Lavi as Eve.

At the end of season four, Eve left Los Angeles behind to go on a journey of self-discovery, leave Maze heart-broken.

Showrunners Joe Henderson and Idly Modrovich have confirmed Eve, who was missing from part one and will return in part two, but what does this mean for her and Maze?

Henderson and Modrovich told Entertainment Weekly in a statement: “We are so excited to have Inbar back!

“Last we saw her, Eve broke Maze’s heart. Soooo… a reunion between our favourite demon and the original sinner should go smoothly, right?”

At the end of Lucifer season five, part one Amenadiel learned his son was not a part-celestial but was a full human.

The beginning of the new series is expected to see Amenadiel and Linda (Rachael Harris) come to terms with the news.

Unfortunately, Fans will have to wait until the release of season five, part B to find out what really happens next.
