LOVE Island star Mary Bedford has revealed her grandmother passed away while she was in the villa.
The reality star shared a sweet picture with her gran and revealed she flew back home to attend the funeral after leaving the show.
"Our angel on earth is now our angel in heaven," Mary wrote on Instagram.
"Coming off the show has been bitter sweet for me as I flew home to go to the funeral of my beautiful grandma who passed away whilst I was in the villa.
"I’ve been taking the time since the show to mourn, reflect, and be back with my loved ones before returning to my social media.
"I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the support I have received at this difficult time, I truly appreciate everything."
Mary's friends from the Love Island villa rushed to offer their condolences to the star.
Faye Winter wrote: "Love you."
Meanwhile, Chloe Burrows posted a string of love heart emojis and Sharon Gaffka wrote: "Sending you lots of love Angel."
Ex-Love Island stars also showed their support and Molly-Mae Hague wrote: "Fly High beautiful lady 🕊 she’ll be so proud of you Mary."
Kaz Crossley added: "Sending my love girl x"
Elle Brown wrote: "She will be so proud of you babe ❤️ RIP."
Mary and Aaron Simpson were dumped from the island just days before the final.
Despite their exit, the pair were happy as they left and keen to carry on their romance outside the villa.
Mary said: "It's still early days for us. Even though it’s only been 10 days it feels like we’ve been seeing each other for months.
"We said we’re definitely going to give it a go on the outside.
"Obviously everything changes when you get out so we said we’re just going to cross each bridge as it comes to it.
"We’re definitely going to see each other on the outside."
