Love Island viewers slam ‘HYPOCRITE’ Maura Higgins for warning Elma Pazar off Tom Walker

Love Island viewers have taken to social media to slam Maura Higgins after she lectured Elma Pazar on “girl code.”

The 28 year old ring girl confronted 26 year old Elma after she admitted she was interested in new boy Tom Walker, who Maura had enjoyed a date with.

Maura pulled lash technician Elma to one side to ask about her interest in Tom during Tuesday night’s episode.

But viewers failed to agree with Maura’s lecture, after she “cracked on” with Molly-Mae Hague’s love interest Tommy Fury.

Who do you want to leave Love Island tonight?

Fans of the hit ITV2 show flooded Twitter to vent about their chat.

One wrote: “Maura has no right to ask for sympathy from Elma after she did the same thing to Molly-Mae.”

A second added: “Maura saying that she doesn’t need to ask for mollys permission to talk to tommy yet she’s fuming with Elma for talking to Tom without asking her ? [sic] .”

A third viewer chimed: “Who does Maura think she is? What has Elma done that’s so terribly wrong? Sort yourself out.”

A final fan commented: “Maura is the biggest hypocrite going! On about girl code when she did the exact same thing to Molly.”

Maura decided to confront Elma during the latest instalment, asking how she has suddenly decided she was interested in Tom.

Maura asked: “We’re friends and I know if I was in your situation and a guy came in that you liked, I wouldn’t do that. If Tom wanted you, what would you do?”

Elma responded: “We get on but I made it clear that I wouldn’t want to tread on your toes.”

Maura hit back: “Girl-code. I just wouldn’t. I don’t want to get into another love triangle especially with my friend.”

Elma then confided in Molly-Mae, telling her: “I wish I had just left it because it looked like I had something to apologise for when I didn’t. She sat there and went on about girl-code when she did worse to you.”
