Joe and Lucie decided they’d become “exclusive” to each other on the ITV2 contest.
Although it was all smiles for the pair at the end of tonight’s Love Island episode, it may not be the case when the actions returns tomorrow.
The teaser for the next instalment shows Lucie and Joe looking far from happy as Lucie ends up breaking down in tears.
In the clip, Joe said: “I f*****g hate this because I want it to be a happy villa.”
It’s just annoying
Meanwhile, Lucie replied: “That’s what I mean. It’s just annoying, innit?”
She was then seen welling up at whatever the troubling situation at hand is as Joe stroked her shoulder.
Could it be the end for the couple who have already been through quite the journey on the programme?
Joe and Lucie’s exclusivity chat came after Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard decided they wouldn’t get to know anyone else.
Their night in the hideaway saw them become “half boyfriend and girlfriend” with Joe and Lucie quickly following suit as they headed off on a paddle boarding date.
However, Amy wasn’t too pleased that the two of them had decided to make things a bit more official so soon after she and Curtis had.
Could Amy’s comments make their way back to Lucie and Joe?
Another element to threaten all the couples is the arrival of two new girls into the villa.
New Love Island girls Maura Higgins and Elma Pazar will be making their way onto the show next week, and feathers may be ruffled.
Elma has said she’s got her eye on the newest guy, Danny Williams.
He’s been seen getting close to Yewande Biala as well as Molly-Mae Hague, but it remains to be seen who he’d couple up with.
Elma also suggested she could be getting to know Tommy Fury a bit better, which could really cause tension with Molly-Mae as she’s currently in a couple with the boxer.
“I’m a girl’s girl, so I don’t want to tread on toes, but it is part of the show. It’s kind of every person for themselves,” Elma said.
“At the moment, I like Danny who has just gone in. He’s pleasing to the eye.
“Tommy is nice too, but he’s quite young. His head gets turned a lot.”
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
