Lorraine viewers in hysterics as they hear ‘fart’ noise in awkward TV moment

Lorraine viewers were left in hysterics on Wednesday morning as they heard a mysterious "fart" during a chat about the coronavirus vaccine.

Fans of the ITV talk show were distracted when they heard the suspicious noise, which was not acknowledged by anybody on screen.

Temporary host Ranvir Singh welcomed Dr Amir Khan to the programme to discuss the latest Covid news but the GP appeared to suffer sound issues at the start of the interview.

As the health expert joined the video call, an unexpected sound could be heard and it didn't go unnoticed by viewers at home.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Did someone just fart on Lorraine?"

Another added: "Just heard an enormous fart."

A third viewer wondered: "Did doctor just fart, nervous times a live interview."

Ranvir, 43, and Dr Khan continued their chat about the latest coronavirus vaccine news and didn't address the reason behind he mystery noise.

This is not the first live TV fart blunder this year, with the nation's PE teacher Joe Wicks being left red-faced after he passed wind during his PE workout livestream.

Fans were confused when they heard the suspicious noise while the 34-year-old star was off-camera, and Joe later admitted that he didn't think anybody would notice.

Good Moring Britain presenter and ITV political editor Ranvir is filling in for Lorraine Kelly this week while she enjoys a break from her talk show.

Lorraine, 61, is expected to return to the sofa on Monday morning after the half-term break.

It's not the first time Ranvir has stepped in to host the ITV talk show while Lorraine takes some time off.
