Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) continues to spend most of her days at the hospital in EastEnders following the devastating news a tumour has been found in her brain.
The storyline, as we know, will coincide with Danielle’s exit as EastEnders highlights a young person living with a brain tumour.
On taking on the storyline, Danielle Harold said: ‘It means so much to be trusted with a storyline like this – one that’s close to many people’s hearts.
‘Sadly many of our viewers will be able to relate to Lola’s story and it’s been heartbreaking to speak to the families affected by brain tumours and hear their stories.
‘They’ve been so amazing in sharing their experiences with me, and I’m so lucky to have them. I wouldn’t be able to do this storyline without their support’.
As Lola heads to the hospital again, her doctor explains the upcoming brain operation and she feels hopeful – but Jay (Jamie Borthwick) still remains impacted by it all.
Back at home, as Lola and Lexi (Isabella Brown) plan for next year’s Halloween, suffice to say Jay is struggling to remain as positive as his partner.
But what will the aftermath of the surgery look like?
