Who will star in Legacies season 2?
As Legacies is still airing in the US, it is hard to predict who will star in Legacies season two.
Hopefully, the entire main cast will return for the second season.
This means Danielle Rose Russell will be back as tribrid Hope Mikaelson who is studying at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.
Hope featured majorly in the final season of The Originals after her father Klaus (played by Joseph Morgan) and her uncle Elijah (Daniel Gillies) sacrificed themselves to save her.
Matt Davis will hopefully return to play Alaric Saltzman the human, vampire hunter and teacher.
Vampire Diaries actress Candice King will hopefully return as a teacher, Caroline Forbes in Legacies season two.
No Alternative actor Aria Shahghasemi should reprise his role as Hope’s friend, Landon.
KC Undercover actor Quincy Fouse will most likely be back as Milton MG Gladstone, a new pupil at The Salvatore school.
The Quad star Peyton Alex Smith will be back as Rafel in Legacies.
Other potential returning cast members include Kaylee Brant as Josie Salesman, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Salesman, Karen David as play Emma Tig and Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert.
Showrunner Julie Plec has also teased the return of Kai, played by Chris Wood.
Speaking to TVGuide she said: “I have big plans for [Kai’s return] in my head. Even if they never make it to the screen, I have massive plans.”
Plec also teased that the door was always open for Caroline, played by Candice King, to return.
WHO IS IN THE CAST OF LEGACIES?
What will happen in Legacies season 2?
It is unknown what will happen in Legacies season two and the of the new series will largely depend on how Legacies season one draws to a close.
Danielle Rose Russell, who plays Hope told Collider teased a shocking season one finale.
She said: “I had heard rumors about how our season was gonna end, since the middle [of] the season.
“We all talked about it and said, ‘Oh, my god, if the season ends that way, that would be so cool. It makes total sense.’
“Like everything, so much information had already been revealed, at that point, so it was something that made the most sense, for Hope and this entire world.
“So, when I finally got the script, I was very, very happy to see that that’s what happens, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it, too. I think it’s gonna really, really shock people.”
The series follows the story of Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) from The Originals universe.
Legacies is set two years after the events of The Originals and follows Hope as she attends her first year at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.
It is likely Legacies season two will follow Hope in her second year of studies but it is unclear.
Showrunner Julie Plec told comicbook.com: “I hope what they love is the familiarity and the nostalgia of the way that we tell these stories.
“The way that we live, deeply rooted in emotion and friendship and love and all those great things.
“I hope what they appreciate is how new it feels tonally and so different from what we’ve done in the past as well.
“I think that the show we’re pushing humour a lot harder. We’re hoping, as you see in episodes to come, we really brought it out our tone.“
She added: “We’re embracing our inner comedians and having a lot of fun with that. We’ve never gotten to do that before.
“Just be blatantly funny. And then hopefully the monsters, I think, will get everybody excited but I can’t talk too much about those.“
