Lady C claims Meghan blocked from coronation ‘over all of her demands’

Royals: Lady C says the Sussexes ‘have no business on the balcony’

Next month, Prince Harry will fly over from his California home to be part of the historic coronation in support of his dad, King Charles. Although his wife, Meghan Markle, will remain in America and not join in with the celebrations. However, TV personality Lady Colin Campbell claimed the 41-year-old decided not to come after her “demands” weren’t accommodated.

While Harry attends the historic event, which takes place across the first weekend of May, Meghan will stay in America with their two children.

On the day of the coronation itself, Meghan and Harry’s son Archie will be turning four, with many claiming the Duchess has used his birthday as an excuse not to go.

Appearing on GB News over the weekend, Lady C spoke to host Mark Dolan on her thoughts about Meghan’s decision, as she claims the royal actually wanted to be there.

Mark questioned: “What does this tell us about her plans for the future?”

Lady C commented: “Well, I’ll tell you what it tells me. I’ve spoken to people who know them very well.

“It tells me, I’m just going to speak for myself, that she was very nervous.

“She actually did want to come but she was blocked at every turn with all her demands.

“She was hoping to flaunt herself and she was blocked at every turn.

The 73-year-old told the GB News host Meghan had received guidance from her “money-making” advisers regarding her final decision.

Lady C added: “If she came, she would help to diminish her brand even further than it has already been diminished.

“She and Harry are in big trouble as a brand. They have lost supporters in the United States across the board.

“Most well-established people, even in the democratic party, don’t want to have a thing to do with them.”

Lady C told Mark if she had come, her unpopularity with the public would have been apparent, impacting their image even further.

However, she alleged there was another issue which resulted in Meghan snubbing the invite.

Lady C continued: “Her loss of statue because one of the big quibbles was where they would be seated.

“She was going to be seated in the bleachers, so to speak, and of course a star of Meghan’s magnitude.

“[imitating Meghan] You know, I’m fabulous, I was a star in Suits.”

However, royal biographer Robert Jobson told TalkTV last week he believes it’s a good idea for Meghan to stay in America so the focus isn’t taken away from the King.

He commented: “She’s probably a little scared to come here and get booed and picked on.

“It would become a tabloid issue, a major big issue that really would detract from the Coronation, so in a way, I think it’s a good decision for them.”
