The host looked incredible as she sat beside her Good Morning Britain co-host in a sparkly dress on Friday. Kate Garraway was certainly in the Christmas spirit as she thrilled viewers with her glam appearance before sharing her plans for the big day.

The presenter opted for a pastel coloured dress, which was embellished with beading and sequins.

The mother-of-two had her blonde locks blow dried and sported smokey eye make-up as she got into the party spirit.

Those watching at home took to Twitter to comment on her glam appearance and wish her a joyful festive period.

Martha posted: “@kategarraway Kathy, wooow I like that dress. You look absolutely gorgeous!! Happy holidays.”

Steve Mannion tweeted: “@kategarraway you look fabulous this morning kate just saying you made me smile.”

Julie Melady shared: “Love your sparkly dresses @kategarraway.”

William Fletcher added: “@kategarraway morning kate x looking amazing as ever. merry xmas to you, derek and kids, heres hoping 2023 better for u all.” (sic)

It came as Ben and Kate discussed whether they would be serving starters for their Christmas meal or following Nigella Lawson’s latest advice to stop from over indulging.

Ben began: “Preparations are undoubtedly building in your houses ahead of Christmas.

“Slightly worrying suggestion from Nigella Lawson of all people.”

“The woman who licks cream off her fingers in the most indulgent way,” Kate added.

Ben continued: “She is suggesting we skip starters on Christmas Day so we don’t overdo the indulgence.”

“I know there’s a lot of people who will be worrying about having enough food or heat for Christmas but what she is saying is, ‘Don’t go crazy, pace it out. Why have a starter?'” Kate added.

Sean Fletcher noted he agreed with Nigella as he was often “full” after a starter meaning he could not enjoy his turkey.

Kate advised: “Do you know what my tip is? Breakfast of Quality Street. Get that in early.

“Or whatever the kids have in their stockings, nick it.

“Then have the starter around lunch time because you know – I’m doing the Christmas lunch this year – that the turkey is going to be around 5.30pm.

“So you have the starter but you have it as lunch – a little bit of melon.”

Ben laughed: “It’s how you keep everybody a little bit sane and sober with a little bit of something.”

“A little bit of something to keep everyone going,” Kate agreed. “Look everyone, the starters have arrived, little do they know.”

Good Morning Britain airs Christmas Day on ITV from 7am.
