The Strictly Come Dancing judges decided they wanted to see Hamza Yassin to perform the Salsa once more. Dancing with Jowita, the cameraman gave it his all as he hoped to impress viewers at home and end the night lifting the Glitterball Trophy. As the dance came to an end, Jowita screamed with joy at her celebrity partner.

Thrilled with the routine, Jowita shouted: “This is how you open the show!”

As she heaped praise of Hamza, the Countryfile star whispered his thanks for her: “Thank you! Thank you darling.”

It wasn’t just Jowita who was happy with Hamza’s performance but head judge Shirley Ballas was also full of praise.

She said: “First of all, I feel so overwhelmed and emotional. What a way to open the final of Strictly 2022.

“I particularly wanted to see this dance again because I wondered if there was a possibility you could improve it even more and you did.

“You brought some intimacy between the team, your lifts went higher, your turns were spot on, you took care of this wonderful dancer lady.

“I just thought you were fantastic. Thank you for your hard work. Brilliant!”

Anton du Beke added: “I laugh out loud with joy when I watch you dance.

“It’s so brilliant. You are the last man standing but what a man!

“It was, I completely agree with Shirley, there was a freedom to this dance you didn’t have when you first did it.

“I am thrilled, we are brilliant judges to have chosen that dance to do again. Aren’t we clever?

“You are joyous. Brilliant! Well done!”

Helen Skelton and Hamza Yassin are reported expected to bag a “six figure presenting deal” to keep both at the BBC.

Fans know Helen and Hamza both work on Countryfile but the former also works for Channel 5’s On the Farm series.

The pair, who are the favourites to win, look set to be given a career boost by BBC bosses.

A source told The Sun: “Helen are Hamza are well thought of at the BBC and the executives are delighted at how the show has boosted their profiles.

“They’ve wanted some sensational stars to emerge in Strictly this year which is a ‘full’ show for the first time since it was scaled back by Covid two years ago.

“Viewers seem to have thrown their support behind Helen and Hamza in a way few other finalists have enjoyed.

“The Beeb are keen to build on that and make sure they stay with the BBC, which is where they’ve both developed their careers so far.”

It’s no secret Strictly fans are keen to see Hamza become the next David Attenborough and host his own wildlife series.
