Jill Duggar shares sweet selfie while homeschooling son Samuel, 4, as they break family rules by reading 'BANNED' books

JILL Duggar shared a sweet selfie while homeschooling her son Samuel, four, as they broke her family’s strict rules.

The 30-year-old revealed that her youngest son was reading books that were previously banned by her parents.

Jill took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a sweet selfie with Samuel as the pair read together.

The Counting On alum smiled as she pulled her hair back into a high bun and dressed casually in a T-shirt.

Meanwhile, Samuel concentrated on the book that featured illustrations of two boys swimming.

Jill also shared a closeup photo of Samuel reading as he pointed to each word as he read.

Alongside the photos, the TLC alum wrote: “Samuel and I enjoy our mornings together working through his little school workbooks, making crafts, cooking and reading together!”

She then asked: “What are some of your favorite little readers?"

Jill shared some of her son’s favorite books writing: “These are some of our favorites right now: BOB books, Preschool Prep Company books, Sing, Spell Read & Write books (pictured) + any books Israel brings home from school!”

In addition to Samuel, Jill shares son Israel, six, with husband Derick Dillard, 32.

Fans may be surprised to see that Jill was reading educational books with her son instead of the religious books she was raised with.

Her parents, Jim Bob, 56, and Michelle, 55, were very strict when it came to the content Jill and her 18 siblings consumed growing up.

However, Jill has been known to break her parents' rules over the years.

One Duggar family family rule that Jill no longer observes is the strict dress code, which usually only permits women to dress modestly and to wear skirts or dresses.

Women are never allowed to show their legs or dress in a revealing manner.

The Duggar children have also been homeschooled and grew up with limited access to entertainment and television.

The family patriarch Jim Bob and matriarch Michelle have stuck to these stern rules for their Christian lifestyle.

The couple even practice chaperoned courtship with their kids, as they invite themselves on dates to ensure no touching.

But as their children have grown, they have also slowly started rebelling against their parents' conservative ways.

Among her siblings, Jill has remained the most rebellious Duggar.

She has been known to post photos in outfits her parents wouldn't like, including gym shorts, strapless tops and jeans.

She also pierced her nose and enrolled her eldest son in public school.

Jill previously shocked fans by promoting sex toys and lube on her social media page.

She shared a giveaway with fans, revealing that prizes included lubricant, massage candles and a Sexy Dares book.
