Sex/Life came out on Netflix at the end of last month and has already shot up to be in the streaming service’s top 10. The series is about Billie Connelly (played by Sara Shahi), a wife and mum who questions her life when she meets up with her ex-boyfriend Brad (Adam Demos). Does she want to remain faithful to her husband Cooper Connelly (Mike Vogel), or would she rather be with her former and more exciting lover?

Is Sex/Life based on a true story?
Sex/Life is based on the book 44 Chapters About 4 Men written by BB Easton.
The 2016 book was a self-published memoir that was turned into a Netflix series by UnReal’s writer and producer Stacy Rukeyser.
So Sex/Life is actually based on a true story, the life of its author BB Easton.
She has described what it has been like for her, seeing that part of her life play out on screen.
Easton has said the experience has been “absolutely, comically surreal”.
She explained: “Seeing these gorgeous supermodel humans on a screen portraying characters based on my husband and myself while we’re sitting on our busted, 12-year-old couch in our sweatpants, quarantine day 587…we’re just so tickled.
“It’s been an absolute dream come true that I didn’t even know I had.”
The book’s focus is on the loves of her life, including real-life husband Ken who is portrayed by actor Vogel in Sex/Life.
Her other three loves are described as “a tattoo artist turned U.S. Marine turned motorcycle club outlaw, a baby-faced punk rocker out on parole, and a heavy-metal bass player.”
Like Billie, Easton started writing a journal as she was feeling torn in her life as a married mum-of-two.
The novel’s first diary instalment reads: “The man is at least ninety percent perfect for me, but lately, all I can think about is the less-than-or-equal-to ten-person that’s missing: passion and body art.
“Two things I need to mourn and move on from in order to protect my lovely, monotonous marriage. But I can’t.”

So far, there has been no news in regards to season two of Sex/Life.
However, the series only came out over a week ago so it’s still really early days.
In this relatively short space of time, Sex/Life has become one of the most-watched shows on Netflix.
Therefore, it does seem the romantic drama could be in with a chance of another season.
After her success with 44 Chapters About 4 Men, Easton went on to create a spin-off series.
Each of the four books is about one of the loves of her life and are entitled Skin, Speed, Star and Suit.
Does this mean there could be multiple seasons of Sex/Life on the way?
Sex/Life is available to watch on Netflix.
