I’m A Celeb’s Vernon Kay finally reunites with his wife Tess Daly as his daughters bake him welcome home cookies – The Sun

VERNON Kay had a warm welcome home after the end of I'm A Celebrity this weekend, snuggling up with wife Tess on the sofa and munching down on the celebratory cookies his daughters baked for his return.

The 46-year-old TV presenter made it to the finale in the Welsh castle, and came in third place behind winner Giovanna Fletcher and runner-up Jordan North.

Wife Tess Daly, 51, snuggled up to her husband on the sofa after almost five weeks away – including two in isolation to prepare for the show.

Taking to Instagram, the Strictly presenter shared the tender moment between them, writing: "After almost 5 weeks away… it's so good to have him home."

She went on to joke it was time to get the Christmas tree up under the snap, where both are wrapped up warm in black turtle-neck jumpers.

On Saturday, Vernon was welcomed home by his daughters, who had made biscuits to celebrate being reunited with their dad.

Phoebe, 16, and Amber, 12, had cut the dough into star shapes like those collected by dad Vernon during trials, and iced them with the show's name I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The biscuits were laid out in order on the kitchen counter, which had been decorated with jelly snake sweets to nod to the trials their dad had to take part in.

Proud Tess shared the creation to her Instagram story, captioning the post: "The girls made cookies for their dad's return," alongside star emojis.

She said she "loved the jelly" like the creatures in the trials and added a snake emoji for effect.

Last week, Tess vowed she would help Vernon gain weight after it was revealed he'd lost two stone in his three week stint on the show.

Living off of a small portions of rice and beans – with occasional treats when the stars meant they had extra food – he quickly lost weight.
Tess took to Instagram to share she'd stocked up the fridge with his favourite foods, including bacon, pasta, fruit and Vernon's favourite Yorkshire Tea.
