Actor Jamie Lomas has been in the spotlight after an incident at the TV Choice Awards which has resulted in Emmerdale star Asan N’Jie being sacked from the soap.
Footage from the incident, showing a brawl between the soap stars during the after party during which Asan appeared to make threats towards Jamie, led to ITV launching an investigation – with the actor being axed as a result.
Asan later apologised to Jamie in a statement as he said: ‘My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.
‘I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards. I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.’
Jamie – who joined the star-studded ranks at the ceremony on Monday night, is best known for his roles in Hollyoaks and Coronation Street, as well as being a former I’m A Celebrity runner-up.
Here’s what you need to know about the actor.
How old is Jamie Lomas and who does he play in Hollyoaks?
Jamie is 44 years old and is from Bury, having been born there on 21 April 1975.
Acting-wise it’s Hollyoaks for which he’s best known, having played the role of Warren Fox on and off from 2006.
It was recently revealed that the infamous character is set to return to the soap full-time after making a surprise appearance over the summer.
Warren is one of the soap’s most notorious villains, having been involved in drug dealing and murder – with five of the show’s other characters having been killed by him.
He was thought to have died in the loft fire in 2010 but was later revealed to have faked his own death by stabbing another characterm Dale Greer (Chris Geere) and using his body to make it look as though he had perished.
Warren was seen most recently after he was revealed as the father of the twins Sienna (Anna Passey) kidnapped, confirming that they were hers – before he took them off to Spain with him.
Expect more drama when the character returns full-time in the New Year.
‘Warren is back in the village and when the fox is back, trouble isn’t far behind him,’ Jamie said.
‘The village best be on their toes because there is plenty of unfinished business.’
What else has Jamie Lomas appeared in?
The actor is no stranger to soaps, having played Jake Stone from 2013 to 2015 as well as appearing in one episode of Coronation Street in 2004 as a character called Jeff Durkin.
His other TV credits include Heartbeat, Dream Team, Casualty and Blue Murder – while he finished second to Georgia Toffolo in the 2017 series of I’m A Celebrity.
Who is Jamie Lomas married to and does he have children?
Jamie was previously married to Coronation Street star Kym Marsh from 2012 to 2014, having been with her since 2008.
The pair have an eight-year-old daughter, Polly. Their son Archie Jay tragically died moments after he was born 18 weeks prematurely in 2009.
Jamie is also dad to 13-year-old son Billy, from his relationship with Haley Lever.
He was most recently linked to Hollyoaks crew member Portia Hughes, but reports suggest they split earlier this year.
