Holly Willoughby will reportedly host her first show back on This Morning with Alison Hammond after her lengthy break away from the ITV programme.

The 42-year-old presenter was last seen hosting the daytime series on July 6 and has since been enjoying her summer holiday with her family.

However, according to reports, she will be back on the famous blue sofa next month.

MailOnline state that Holly will return to work on Monday, September 4 and will present the show alongside Alison.

They report that the duo will host the first two shows of the week until Wednesday when Holly will be joined by Craig Doyle.

Alison will then host her usual Friday show alongside Dermot O'Leary.

A source close to the show told the publication: "To ITV bosses, Holly and Alison are the dream team and it also what Holly wanted and that is very important to those high up because they don't want to lose her.

"They have this natural chemistry, they are friends and it something that the bosses hope the viewers will enjoy.

"Holly would love for them to be a permanent pairing but these days Alison is in such demand across the whole television industry these days that it is impossible for her to commit to the show full time but Holly will do her very best to make sure they are together as much as possible."

Daily Star has reached out to representatives for Holly and This Morning for a comment.

It comes after reports that Steve Jones will join the This Morning presenting team as the latest in line to replace Phillip Schofield.

Since Schofe left the ITV show earlier this year, his former co-host Holly has featured alongside a number of well known names, including Alison, Craig and Josie Gibson.

However, show bosses are reportedly "thrilled" about their latest signing, with Welsh hunk Steve sure to attract some viewers at home.

A source told MailOnline: "The hope is that those watching at home will love Steve, he's a very experienced broadcaster but also very cheeky.

"There is no permanent replacement for Phil, Holly will be presenting with Alison [Hammond], Josie, Dermot [O'Leary] and Craig, and now probably Steve."

Steve has had a varied career since finding fame in 2003 on Channel 4 show T4 alongside Miquita Oliver.

He currently fronts Channel 4's Formula 1 coverage, but also enjoyed a stint in the US hosting X Factor USA for Simon Cowell.
